COOKIES & STORAGE

What this browser remembers.

The character editor uses browser storage to remember your work. Google Analytics is optional and loads only if you choose Allow analytics.

Local storage used by the editor

StoragePurposeContents
IndexedDB: draftRestore the current working canvas. The active project, including character settings and imported PNG data.
IndexedDB: projectsKeep copies you create with Save.Up to 20 projects, preview images, and save timestamps.

These records use the browser database named little-loom. They are scoped to this website address and browser profile. The app does not use them to follow your activity on other websites.

Cookies and hosting are separate

The game’s project storage does not need cookies. If you allow Analytics, Google’s tag can set _ga and _ga_… cookies for visit and session measurement; this site configures a 180-day expiry. The hosting provider may use its own cookies or similar mechanisms to deliver its service. Those are separate from the local character database.

The browser can also cache the website’s files according to response headers. A cached script or illustration is different from a saved character project. No advertising library is bundled. The Google Analytics script is requested only after permission and only on the production website at minimuse.fun.

Change your Analytics choice

Choose Essential only to use the workshop without Analytics, or Allow analytics to enable visit measurement. Both options leave character creation, saving, and downloads available. Use Cookie settings in any page footer to return to these choices. No popup appears when you visit the workshop.

Your decision is stored as little-loom:analytics-consent:v1 in localStorage and is honored for up to 180 days. Expired records are removed when the page next checks them. This preference is separate from IndexedDB character projects. If browser storage is blocked, the choice may last only for the current page. Withdrawing permission disables the tag and clears its accessible Analytics cookies; previous Google-held data is not deleted by that action.

How to remove a saved project

Open My projects and choose Remove beside the saved copy. Confirm the removal in the dialog. The current working draft stays on the canvas; removing a saved copy does not erase that separate draft.

To erase all local character data, close other tabs for this site and clear this website’s stored data through your browser settings. That removes the draft, saved copies, and images embedded in them. Downloaded PNG files remain in your device’s files until you delete them there.

If you block browser storage

The editor may still let you change a character in memory, but it cannot promise those edits will survive a reload or closing the tab. Pay attention to save errors and download the finished picture before leaving. Blocking or clearing storage does not create a cloud copy elsewhere.
